Supply and Demand As Mark Twain stated, “Buy land, they’re not making it anymore”. The fact is that Britain is a small island, and land, like gold is a finite resource as we cannot make it anymore. Well placed investors understand that strategic land makes sense in the mid to long-term and are taking advantage of the fundamental and economic principal of supply and demand. “There is only a limited supply of previously developed land. Even with windfall sites coming forward, this supply will be insufficient to meet anticipated demand.” Source: Kate Barker - member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of England
